We mean "Trophy" Red Drum, North Carolina holds some of the worlds largest Redfish, holding 10 of the 16 world records. Since 2008 our clients have averaged a 90%+ success rate on landing a trophy class Red Drum which is 40 inches or greater in length. Fish of this class bottom out 50lb scales! Prime time! Our quest for trophy fish starts in August and runs through the 2nd week in October. Traditionaly most anglers associate Trophy Reds with a night bite, but we target them in the day with better results. This allows the angler to experience the full thrill of these trophy fish. Location- Neuse River, Pamlico Sound and Bay River. Depending on the wind and best concentration of fish determines where I run to maximize your time catching trophy fish. Currently the largest boat is a 24' Wellcraft with hard top, cabin and curtains. I also run a 21' open Skimmer which works great when the fish get in the upper reaches of the rivers. I run Humminbird electronics with side scan sonar, the best on the market period!
